How to determine what is considered a life-sustaining businessCounty Updates:

  • The County Facilities and Departments page lists all the closures and operating changes within the County due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Among others, the Courts have suspended, with some exceptions, operations through August 3, 2020, and all Bucks County Government Offices buildings are open by appointment only, with most essential business being completed online or by phone.
  • Feeling Anxious? Need help managing stress, anxiety, drugs or alcohol? Need to talk to someone? Bucks County COVID-19 Behavioral Health Helpline - 215-399-5681 (Available Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
  • Bucks County Seniors can call 267-880-5700 for assistance, as well as information on services such as meal delivery and independent care. This number is answered Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. After hours and weekends, seniors and their caregivers can leave a message and the Area Agency on Aging will return the call.
  • Effective 03/10/20, Neshaminy Manor is closed to all visitors due to the COVID-19 virus. This includes all entertainers and groups that come for official events. Visitors will be permitted on an approved individual basis for end of life. In addition, all resident sponsored trips (Walmart/VFW's/etc.) have been suspended at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
  • On the advice of the Bucks County Department of Health and suggestion from the State Department of Corrections, Bucks County’s prisons have closed to most visitors, including volunteers involved in community programs offered at the prison. Any prisoners admitted with cold- or flu-like symptoms will be isolated and the Health Department will be contacted for followup. Only essential vendors and contractors such as food, healthcare and legal professionals will be admitted.

In an attempt to curb the spread of COVID 19 within the correctional facility and care for those infected, enhanced procedures have been put in place at the direction of the Bucks County Health Department. All offenders and staff have been provided masks in an effort to curb the spread. Increased temperature checks are being completed on staff and inmates. Medical professionals have an increased presence in the facilities, and are seeing offenders more frequently. We are mirroring the best practices of the State Department of Corrections and are in constant contact with the Bucks County Health Department.

We realize that this is distressing to both offenders and their friends and family. To help ease some of the stress the Department of Corrections has provided goods and services to all offenders above what they would normally be provided and at no cost to the offenders or their families.

  • Offenders continue to receive 2 free telephone calls per week.
  • Offenders are receiving additional health, hygiene and comfort items.
  • Offenders are receiving additional  commissary food items.
  • Offenders are receiving $20 worth of subscription services for the offender tablets . These funds can be used for services such as movies, streaming music, ebooks, games, and newsfeeds.
