Biographical Information

Jordan B. Yeager is a graduate of Palisades High School, Cornell University, and the American University, Washington College of Law. He began his legal career in Washington, D.C., where he handled criminal defense, military law, and a wide range of civil litigation matters. After a brief period as a solo practitioner in Northeastern Pennsylvania, he returned to Bucks County in 1995 and opened the Doylestown office of the Philadelphia-based Sugarman & Associates, working primarily on complex civil litigation matters. From 1997 to 2008, he was a partner in the firm Boockvar & Yeager, and established a regional reputation handling plaintiffs’ civil rights and employment litigation.  

Joining Curtin & Heefner LLP in 2008, Yeager developed a statewide practice in the areas of local government, land use, environmental, and constitutional law. He chaired the firm’s Public Sector, Environmental, and Appellate practice groups, and served on the firm’s Management Committee.  

Over the course of his 26 year career as an advocate, Yeager practiced before trial courts in 23 different counties throughout Pennsylvania and appeared before the PA Supreme Court, PA Commonwealth Court, PA Superior Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Second, and D.C. Circuits.  He served as lead counsel in numerous precedent setting cases, including PA Restaurant and Lodging Ass’n v. City of Pittsburgh, 211 A.3d 810 (Pa. 2019); Robinson Twp., Delaware Riverkeeper Network v. Commonwealth, 83 A.3d 901 (Pa. 2013); Friends of Lackawanna v. Dunmore Borough ZHB, 186 A.3d 525 (Pa. Commw. 2018); Pennypacker v. Ferguson Twp., 167 A.3d 209 (Pa. Commw. 2017); Harvilchuck v. Department of Environmental Protection, 117 A.3d 368 (Pa. Commw. 2015); MarkWest Liberty Midstream & Res., LLC v. Clean Air Council, 71 A.3d 337 (Pa. Commw. 2013); Nockamixon Township v. Nockamixon Twp ZHB, 8 A.3d 434 (Pa. Commw. 2010); Arbor Res., LLC v. Nockamixon Twp., 973 A.2d 1036 (Pa. Commw. 2009); and Estate of Smith v. Marasco (I), 318 F.3d 497 (3rd Cir. 2003). 

Yeager is a recipient of the Florence Neilson Environmental Leadership Award from Clean Water Action and his legal work has been featured in the books Amity and Prosperity and The Green Amendment. He has been a frequent lecturer, including at Yale Law School, Columbia Law School, and the PA Bar Institute.
